With an easy start Honda engine, my expectations were very high and it did not disappoint. I hadn't ever used a "surface scrubber" before.

That was a game changer. I'm delighted that I tried it out. It took just a short while to figure out how to manage the dirty water on a flat sidewalk, but after that, I was off to the races with no streaks and I stayed relatively dry. This cut my project time easily by 50%.

Another benefit of using the "surface scrubber" is that the shroud contains the spray, so there's no collateral damage to my wife's flowers and other unwanted spray. I went from box to project in 20 minutes (that included reading the manual). The only gripe I had was very minor: The black plastic wheels left marks on my clean sidewalk, well, I had a pressure wand in my hand so no big deal to spray it clean.

I was able to stand straight up the whole time. I like that the handle is easily removable by pressing 2 buttons so the unit fits in my Avalanche below the bed cover. Today, 9/10/20, I received the Simpson MegaShot MS60805-S Pressure Washer with Surface Scrubber.

I followed the quick start instructions by putting in the included motor oil and some fresh gasoline. I set the starter switch to on; made sure the gas flow cock permitted gas to flow to the carburetor; set the choke on; then pulled the starter rope. The engine started then died.

I tried several times to restart the engine, but the starter rope was VERY difficult to pull. Eventually, I was able to restart the engine.

However, I did notice that this engine sometimes is VERY difficult to pull the starter rope. I have not figured out why yet.

I would like to point out to the Simpson Company that offering the MegaShot MS60805-S with Surface Scrubber SHOULD/MUST include the extension rod to connect to the handle. I think it illogical to package your pressure washer with a surface scrubber, but include a SHORT connection rod to the handle! I spent the entire afternoon surface scrubbing the concrete deck around the pool, the sidewalks, the patio and the driveway. I was impressed with the surface scrubber. I believe that the surface scrubber is a TWO pass operation if one wants to get the concrete surface reasonably clean. Equally, I noticed that the direction that I push the surface scrubber makes a difference on how clean the concrete surface is clean (if anyone is interested). But for heavens sake give the customer the extension rod to facilitate the use of the Surface Scrubber. I was impressed with the Simpson Megashot. It performed like a champ. Very well made and compact. Honda engine you can't beat... Honda engine you can't beat. Plus made in USA is always a plus. It works great and gas last for a long time. Very easy assembly, great strong engine. I love the one pull start.

Wasn't happy about the soap dispenser. First time I used it it leaked all over.. First time I used it it leaked all over the garage floor. Hoping it is just the plastic line and the tank doesn't have a crack.

This is a great pressure washer. I had never seen one in action before so I was thoroughly impressed with how fast it cleans dirty concrete driveways and sidewalks.
